Basketball Recap: North Fort Myers Extends Winning Streak to 11

North Fort Myers had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Monday. They breezed by the Lehigh Lightning to the tune of 48-20. The Red Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

North Fort Myers' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bianca Iten, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Iten is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Gia Molloy, who posted eight points and five steals.

North Fort Myers smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 30 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Several Lightning players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terryah Lawson, who put up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Esmeralda Morales, who earned four points and three steals.
