Softball Recap: Springfield Wildcats vs. Wayne Warriors

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwestern, Springfield was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Wayne Warriors. That's more bragging rights for Springfield, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Emily Brooks looked comfortable as she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Lindsay Bolin was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Peyton Kennedy was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Springfield's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Wayne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
