Preview: Union County Fightin' Tigers vs. Chiefland Indians
The Union County Fightin' Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Chiefland Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Union County has not done well against Baldwin recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Union County claimed a resounding 67-34 win over Baldwin on the road.
Union County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Jenkins, who scored 15 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Williams , who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Chiefland humbled Bronson with a 64-26 victory.
The losses dropped Union County to 1-1 and Baldwin to 0-5.
Union County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Chiefland in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory. Does Union County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chiefland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
