It was a Battle of the Birds when Academy of Science and Innovation challenged Comp Sci on Friday. The Ravens blew past the Eagles 3-0.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Academy of Science and Innovation was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-14.

Academy of Science and Innovation's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alisa Kandic, who had 12 assists and three aces. Kandic has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last five times she's played. Ajla Jusic was another key player, getting six aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Academy of Science and Innovation was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Cromwell and North Branford have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunderbirds.
The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-23, 26-28, 25-17.
Cromwell's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
