Basketball Recap: Millersport Piles Up the Points Against Berne Union

There's no place like home for Millersport, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Berne Union Rockets 64-25 on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lakers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Millersport's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenna Schilling, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine steals. Those 20 points gave Schilling a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Atkinson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards.

Millersport was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Millersport's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-11. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Berne Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
