Football Recap: Legacy Falls Short Against Ranked Century

Legacy faced Century in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Legacy fell 33-27 to Century. Legacy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Century apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Legacy and nudges their season record down to 5-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-2 Bismarck (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 73.2% over those games). As for Century, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Legacy will take on rival Mandan at 6:30 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Century is set to challenge their familiar foe Bismarck at 6:30 p.m. on the 24th.
