Football Recap: Seminole Comes Up Short at Home Against Creekside + How To Watch

Seminole unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against Creekside on Friday, falling 32-0.

Jeysen Williams threw for 52 yards on eight of 16 attempts. Anthony Gay III was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Davarian Jefferson rushed for 38 yards.

Creekside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ced Kelley led the charge by rushing for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. Kelley's longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another rusher making a difference was Gary Walker, who rushed for 104 yards and one score on only 13 carries.

Creekside has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Seminole will take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Creekside, they will square off against DeSoto at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
