Basketball Recap: North Kansas City Comes Up Short

North Kansas City lost against Park Hill South back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Kansas City Hornets came up short against the Park Hill South Panthers, falling 64-40. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Panthers are ranked second).

It was another big night for Addison Bjorn, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 11 boards for Park Hill South. The game was Bjorn's ninth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Lanicia Parker, who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for North Kansas City and nudges their season record down to 12-8. As for Park Hill South, the win keeps them at an undefeated 26-0.

North Kansas City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Park Hill South, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 60-10 victory against Central on the 6th.
