The St. Patrick's Irish will face off against the Mitchell Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Patrick's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season.

St. Patrick's is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since January 16, 2025 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-50 victory over Overton. The Irish haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

St. Patrick's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Kramer, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ben Heirigs, who posted 18 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 71-45 to Kimball. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Longhorns are ranked 48th).

The win got St. Patrick's back to even at 7-7. As for Mitchell, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
