Football Recap: Whitney Takes a Loss

Whitney extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 2-8. They came up short against the Jesuit Marauders, falling 38-17. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Marauders from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Although Whitney took the loss, they still got scores from Carson Floyd and Micah Hutcerson.

As for Jesuit, their record now sits at 6-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Steven Greene Jr. had a dynamite game, rushing for 107 yards and one score. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Whitney and Jesuit are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Whitney will challenge Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jesuit, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,036 yards in their previous games.
