Volleyball Recap: Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Takes a Loss

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Bureau Valley Storm. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Storm apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21.

Ellie Doubet paced Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s offense, picking up five kills. Doubet got some help from Haylee Bennett and her nine assists.

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Bureau Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against ROWVA/Williamsfield on the 6th. As for Bureau Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Kewanee on the 4th.
