South Iredell fell victim to West Rowan and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-0. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly two runs.

South Iredell got a good showing from Khloe Cuva, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

Meanwhile, A.L. Brown and Cannon finished up their matchup with a 7-7 draw on Thursday.

South Iredell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. A.L. Brown's tie makes their record 5-2-1 this season.

Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South Iredell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. However, it's not like A.L. Brown struggles in that department as they've averaged .393. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

South Iredell was able to grind out a solid win over A.L. Brown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 14-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Iredell since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
