Mesa and Skyline are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Jackrabbits will venture away from home to challenge the Coyotes at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Mesa has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mesa's last matchup with San Luis could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits lost 14-1 to the Sidewinders. The defeat continues a trend for the Jackrabbits in their meetings with the Sidewinders: they've now lost three in a row.

Mesa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gerardo Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Mesa.

Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Mesa came out on top in a nail-biter against Skyline in their previous matchup on Monday, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jackrabbits since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
