After a string of four wins, South Point's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against the Westfall Mustangs, falling 3-0.

While South Point was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Westfall's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 28-26.

Molly Adams paced South Point's offense, picking up 12 kills. Adams got some help from Gracie Carmon and her 21 assists. Carmon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Westfall to victory were Joni Snyder and Adrina Hicks. Snyder had seven digs and three aces, while Hicks had six digs. The dominant performance also gave Snyder a new career-high in assists (three).

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Westfall, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11.

South Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westfall, after both having extra time off, they and Alexander will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
