Volleyball Recap: Neuse Charter Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Neuse Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Roxboro Community Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-20, 25-8.

Layla Johnson paced Neuse Charter's offense, picking up seven kills. Johnson got some help from Ella Highfil and her seven assists. Finally, McKenzie Ward kept Neuse Charter's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Roxboro Community was led to victory by Kendall Rogers and Vivi Carcamo. Rogers had 12 digs and four assists, while Carcamo had ten digs. That's the most digs Carcamo has posted over her last three matchups.

Neuse Charter now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Roxboro Community, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Neuse Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Triangle Math & Science on the 16th. As for Roxboro Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Research Triangle on the 16th.
