Baseball Recap: Great Falls Comes Up Short

Great Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 16-8 to the South Pointe Stallions.

Colton Evans was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Great Falls: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Trotter, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Great Falls now has a losing record of 11-12. As for South Pointe, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Great Falls will take on Lee Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Pointe, they will be playing at home against Rock Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
