Baseball Recap: Family Community Christian Takes a Loss

Family Community Christian came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Oak Grove Tigers, falling 15-1. Family Community Christian has struggled against Oak Grove recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Family Community Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Cottingham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Zac Quimby also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Family Community Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Oak Grove, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Family Community Christian will face off against Bastrop at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oak Grove, they will head out to face off against West Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
