Eldorado and Sunrise Mountain pushed the score to 36-35 the last time they played Sunrise Mountain, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Firehawks put the hurt on the Miners with a sharp 25-0 victory. For the Firehawks, this counts as revenge for the 36-35 win the Miners walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

Sunrise Mountain's QB won't forget Xavier Castro anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Castro is becoming a predictor of Eldorado's success: when he posts at least one sack the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

Eldorado now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sunrise Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
