Basketball Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Beats Charlotte for Their 13th Straight Win

St. Thomas Aquinas extended their postseason success on Thursday against Charlotte. They blew past the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons 69-42. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Thomas Aquinas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clarence Westbrook Jr., who went 8-for-12 en route to 19 points and five boards. That's the most rebounds Westbrook Jr. has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellson (KJ) Sandi, who shot 75% from beyond the arc to rack up 18 points.

The win was the 13th in a row for St. Thomas Aquinas, bringing their record for this year to 29-2. As for Charlotte, they moved to 22-7 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Coming up, St. Thomas Aquinas will face off against Evans at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Evans' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 games. Charlotte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
