Baseball Game Preview: Alliance Aviators vs. Green Bulldogs

The Alliance Aviators will square off against the Green Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Alliance is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Thursday, Alliance earned a 7-2 win over Cuyahoga Falls.

Kamryn Burton made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Burton was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was his first of the season.

In other pitching news, Cade Blatt looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Back at the plate, Bo Davis and Valentino Fisk did most of the damage at the plate: Davis scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Fisk scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that Davis snagged this season. Brady White was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Green came up short against Jackson on Wednesday and fell 5-1. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Polar Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Alliance's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average this season. As for Green, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
