Baseball Recap: Sotomayor's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After a string of three wins, Sotomayor's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 6-2 to the Harlan Hawks. The WILDCATS were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Sotomayor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Cano, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Sotomayor's loss dropped their record down to 16-7-1. As for Harlan, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.

While Sotomayor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
