Seventy-First scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Douglas Byrd Eagles with a sharp 13-2 victory. The win was just what Seventy-First needed coming off of a 16-0 loss in their prior match.

Chris Melendez made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Melendez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
