Baseball Game Preview: Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals vs. Heritage Leadership Academy Fletchers

Wayne Preparatory Academy is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They will host the Heritage Leadership Academy Fletchers at 4:00 p.m. Wayne Preparatory Academy has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Wayne Preparatory Academy turned things around against Eastern Wayne last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Warriors 15-14. Considering the Generals' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

CARSON PRATT was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of KENNETH LARA, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Meanwhile, Heritage Leadership Academy wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-5), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Heritage Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Wayne Preparatory Academy, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-8.
