Volleyball Recap: Collins Hill Eagles vs. Lambert Longhorns

Collins Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lambert Longhorns. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Longhorns from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Lambert scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20.

Destinee Evans paced Collins Hill's offense, picking up six kills. Evans got some help from Anna LaPerriere and her seven assists. LaPerriere also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kyndall Dupigny, racking up two apiece.

Collins Hill's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Lambert, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collins Hill will venture away from home to challenge North Gwinnett at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lambert, they will head out to take on Denmark at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
