Volleyball Recap: Garey Takes a Loss

Garey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Azusa Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Garey's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Azusa, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Garey will challenge rival Baldwin Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Azusa is set to face off against their familiar foe Sierra Vista at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
