Football Recap: Santa Barbara Starts off Right with Win over Camarillo + How To Watch

Santa Barbara had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Camarillo Scorpions by a score of 21-14 on Friday. The Dons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Scorpions, too.

Griffin Arnold threw for 109 yards and one touchdown. Cade Mault was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards. On the ground, Ben Medina rushed for 83 yards and one score on only nine carries.

When it comes to explaining why Camarillo lost, don't look at Dylan Nicholson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 92 yards and one TD, and also threw for 82 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Barbara will welcome Corona del Mar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Camarillo, they will host Rio Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
