Baseball Recap: Covington's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

Covington and Riverton Parke squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Covington had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The Trojans were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the five games prior), but the Panthers' pitcher proved too tough.

Covington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyven Hill, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Covington moved to 15-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Riverton Parke, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.
