Basketball Game Preview: West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights vs. Trenton Central Tornadoes

The West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights will venture away from home to take on the Trenton Central Tornadoes at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Windsor-Plainsboro North is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Tuesday, West Windsor-Plainsboro North was able to grind out a solid win over Princeton Day, taking the game 58-45. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Panthers are ranked 197th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trenton Central). They were the clear victor by a 79-56 margin over Nottingham on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Tornadoes with their most commanding win of the season.

West Windsor-Plainsboro North's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Trenton Central, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything came up roses for West Windsor-Plainsboro North against Trenton Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 65-38 victory.
