Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Takes a Loss

Bloomfield lost against Barr-Reeve last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cardinals fell 10-5 to the Vikings.

Dillon Warnick was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Bloomfield's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 4-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Patterson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Bloomfield dropped their record down to 10-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Barr-Reeve, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bloomfield will face off against Clay City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barr-Reeve, they will take on West Vigo at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
