Volleyball Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss

If Homestead was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Killian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Homestead Broncos lost 3-0 to the Braddock Bulldogs on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Homestead took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-20.

Adrian Martin had a dynamite game for Braddock, getting nine digs and five aces. With that strong performance, Martin is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game. Another player making a difference was Daniel Fleitas, who had 14 digs.

Homestead now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Braddock, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Homestead will head out to challenge North Miami at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Braddock, they will be taking part in a tournament against True North Classical Academy on Friday.
