Football Game Preview: Cambridge vs. Belleville

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Cambridge. They will challenge Belleville on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Cambridge are coming into the matchup hot, having won six in a row.

Cambridge strolled past Darlington with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 21-6. Senior Rudy Hommen, who rushed for 70 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in Cambridge's success.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing 9 points in the match before, Belleville made sure to put some points up on the board against Waterloo. Everything came up roses for Belleville against Waterloo as the squad secured a 42-0 victory. Followers of Belleville probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.

Cambridge didn't have too many spare points in their contest with Belleville the last time the two teams met, but they still walked away with a 25-19 win. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
