Volleyball Recap: Irondequoit Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Gates Chili

Irondequoit faced Gates Chili in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Spartans. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Irondequoit's record now sits at 3-6. As for Gates Chili, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Irondequoit will square off against rival Canandaigua Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Gates Chili is set to challenge their familiar foe Churchville-Chili at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
