Recap: Fayetteville Academy Eagles vs. Faith Christian Patriots
The Fayetteville Academy Eagles had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Faith Christian 51-37 on Thursday. For Fayetteville Academy, this counts as revenge for the 48-31 loss Faith Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Fayetteville Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Riley Duchon led the charge by scoring 26 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Duchon has scored at least 25% of Fayetteville Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Polly Miller, who scored 18 points.
Fayetteville Academy's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Faith Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Harrells Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Faith Christian will host Harrells Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Fayetteville Academy will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
