Jefferson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Lakeview Charter Lions 21-0 on Thursday. Considering the Democrats have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Jefferson's seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Lakeview Charter, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-9 record.

Coming up, Jefferson will challenge East Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Democrats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. Lakeview Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
