Basketball Recap: Greenwood Eagles vs. Easley Green Wave
The Greenwood Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They snuck past Easley with a 76-70 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Greenwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Brooks, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Cj Terrell, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Easley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Crews, who scored 23 points along with two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Greenwood and bumps their season record up to 16-5. As for Easley, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
Greenwood will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. As for Easley, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
