Baseball Recap: Frederick Has No Trouble Against Duke

Frederick lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Duke, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Bombers blew past the Tigers 9-1 on Tuesday. For the Bombers, this counts as revenge for the 10-8 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2019.

Zach Peel was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Kaden Brockriede was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Frederick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in eight consecutive games.

Frederick now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Duke, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Frederick will venture away from home to square off against Walters at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Duke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
