It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Summit had no problem doing just that on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Carbon Dinos by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 59-31 victory the Dinos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2020.

Emma Broadbent continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 21 boards. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last 48 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mariah Bowen, who posted 18 points in addition to six assists and four steals.

South Summit smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. They pulled down six more offensive rebounds than Carbon's also-impressive total of 11.
