MacArthur posted their closest victory since September 21, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers 2-1. For the Generals, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

MacArthur had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-14, 25-21.

Trinitee Sutton paced MacArthur's offense, picking up seven kills. Sutton got some help from Nora Barnett and her ten assists. Sutton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

With the win, MacArthur broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Decatur Eisenhower, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Olympia on the 11th. As for Decatur Eisenhower, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Triopia/Virginia on the 13th.
