Windham falls despite strong effort from Anthony Green

Recap: Windham Whippets vs. St. Bernard Saints

The Windham Whippets pushed their score all the way to 64 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 88-64 defeat at the hands of St. Bernard. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), Windham still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Windham still got an impressive performance from Anthony Green, who scored eight points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Malcolm Hunter, who scored 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Windham and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for St. Bernard, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Windham will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Waterford is ranked 57th, while the Whippets are ranked 76th). As for St. Bernard, they will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fitch's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
