Baseball Recap: Omaha Westside Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Omaha Westside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Bellevue East Chieftains get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Ben Weiss, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Bellevue East off the board. Weiss has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Andrew Tagge was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Duncan Hasnen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Omaha Westside's record now sits at 29-4. As for Bellevue East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.

Omaha Westside will take on Bellevue West at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bellevue East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
