Daphne came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 47-28 win over the Meridian Wildcats.

Daphne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abagail Johnson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Fredayshia Goodwin, who posted 12 points.

Daphne was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meridian only posted four.

Daphne's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Meridian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Daphne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-10 win against Baldwin County on the 9th. As for Meridian, they will take on Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Golden Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 65.8 points per game this season.
