Basketball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost to Gilbert at home by a 57-43 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Gilbert this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-39 back in January.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Gilbert, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Carroll won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Polk at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gilbert, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Bondurant-Farrar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
