Softball Game Preview: Chester County Eagles vs. Scotts Hill Lions

Chester County is 7-1 against Scotts Hill since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. Chester County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

If Chester County beats Scotts Hill with seven runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Eagles blew past Lexington 7-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Addy Parker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Karsyn Knipper, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 contests. Aayla Howell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Scotts Hill duked it out with Adamsville on Tuesday. The Lions won by a run and slipped past the Cardinals 9-8.

Scotts Hill's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Chester County, their win bumped their record up to 12-14.

Chester County beat Scotts Hill 7-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
