Baseball Game Preview: Sherman Oaks CES Knights vs. Arleta Mustangs

The Sherman Oaks CES Knights will challenge the Arleta Mustangs at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Sherman Oaks CES came up short against Vaughn and fell 11-6.

Judah Sapong was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Leo Balerdi, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Arleta didn't have quite enough to beat Grant on Friday and fell 5-3. The Mustangs have struggled against the Lancers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Sherman Oaks CES' defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.9 runs. As for Arleta, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
