Softball Recap: St. James Wildcats vs. Terrebonne Tigers
St. James can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Terrebonne Tigers by a score of 13-8. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 12-7 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Tierney Zenon made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, St. James got a big performance out of Lyric Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-5. Emma Aucoin also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-13. As for Terrebonne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as St. James Wildcats take on E.D. White Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. James' pitchers better be ready for this one: E.D. White has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Terrebonne, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Haynes Academy at 4:30 p.m. on April 7.
