Preview: Hand Tigers vs. Guilford Grizzlies
Hand is 8-2 against Guilford since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Hand Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Guilford Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Hand's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
Hand proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 28) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Fitch and snuck past 58-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Guilford can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game last Friday. They walked away with a 67-59 win over Sheehan. Guilford's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Hand has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Guilford, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Hand against Guilford in their previous meeting on January 6th as the team secured a 68-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hand since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
