Sound Christian might have lost, but man, Makai Resseau was a machine: he went 8 for 19 en route to 18 points and five steals. The game was Resseau's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Moses Stiver was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Northwest Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evergreen Lutheran.

Sound Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Northwest Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Everything came up roses for Sound Christian against Northwest Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 75-48 victory. Will Sound Christian repeat their success, or does Northwest Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
