Softball Recap: Amite County Takes a Loss

Amite County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They came up short against the Bogue Chitto Bobcats, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Monday.

Amite County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Bogue Chitto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Coming up, Amite County will challenge South Pike at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.22 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bogue Chitto, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-1 loss against Wesson on the 8th.
