Softball Recap: North Sanpete Finds Home Field Redemption Against Manti

There's no place like home for North Sanpete, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Manti Templars 6-5 on Tuesday. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Templars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Shea Rawlinson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last eight contests. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Autumn Oldroyd, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

North Sanpete lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post two or more home runs.

North Sanpete's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Manti, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
