Volleyball Recap: Tri-Valley Picks Up Ninth Straight Win on the Road

Tri-Valley had won eight straight road games and Gracie Olinger did her part to make it nine on Thursday. The Scotties blew past the West Muskingum Tornadoes 3-0 with plenty of help from Olinger, who had eight digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served four or more in each of the last three games she's played.

One reason for the win was Tri-Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, West Muskingum saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brooke Beight had ten digs and three assists.

Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for West Muskingum, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will square off against Steubenville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Muskingum, they will challenge Buckeye Local at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
